Food Galore in Kuala Lumpur

If you like food and shopping, you will love Kuala Lumpur. The city is a foodie and shopping heaven, there are so many restaurants, cafes, eateries, street food, malls, streetside stalls, etc. For the three days in Kuala Lumpur, all we had was food, shopping, food, shopping and food. We started in the morning everyday, and we ate / shop all the way until night, and the cycle repeated itself the next day.

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Singapore - Kuala Lumpur
Day 2: Kuala Lumpur
Day 3: Kuala Lumpur - Singapore

DAY 1 (06 April 2012, Friday)

Novi and I set off from home at 0430hrs so as to avoid the Good Friday long weekend jam at the Singapore Malaysia customs. It was relatively smooth at the customs at this hour, and we arrived in KL in about 2hrs 45mins.

We went straight to Jalan Imbi for the famous Sun Fong Bak Kut Teh. The soup was flavourful and delicious as usual.

By around 1000hrs, we went over to Furama Hotel, Bukit Bintang to check in. To our surprise, the staff upgraded us to a suite room!

Back on Jalan Alor, we could not resist the Lok Lok, and ordered some!

How can a trip to KL be without the fresh prawn noodles? The stall lies in the corner of Jalan Imbi, and the tasty gravy from the noodle is from the broth of the huge live prawn.

After a filling dinner, we bought some beers and tidbits and had few rounds card games at our Furama Hotel suite room before calling it a day.

The fatty char siew breakfast at Win Heng Seng Restoran at Jalan Imbi is damm good!! The crispy roasted edges of the fatty pork, melts in your mouth as you chew on it!!
