Relaxing in Bintan Resort

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Singapore - Bintan Resort
Day 2: Bintan Resort - Singapore



DAY 1 (25 August 2007, Saturday)
This trip was kind of a last minute decision where everything was finalised the day before departure. Ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal takes about an hour to reach the resort.


On arrival, we were greeted by the Bintan Lagoon Resort hotel personals where we were transferred to the resort by a hotel bus. The smooth ride takes just 10 minutes.

Feeling bored and tired of walking, I went to rent an ATV and started driving around the resort area... this is my ATV... hahaha!



There is even a golf course in the resort!




DAY 2 (26 August 2007, Sunday)
Next day morning, I got up pretty early to capture some sunrise memories...

Time flies whenever I'm on holidays. After a 2hr breakfast, its again time to leave the beautiful island, departing for home.

Cool weekend at Cameron Highlands

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Singapore - Cameron Highlands
Day 2: Cameron Highlands - Singapore






DAY 1 (04 August 2007, Saturday)
We met 4am at GP Esso to proceed on for the ride to Cameron. As the group is small, we moved pretty fast, and not much of time wasting. By about 11am, we arrived at Tapah R&R and made our way up the old road.

Shortly after Ringlet, we went pass Tanah Ratah, and arrived at the Desa Apartment.

After checking into the hotel, everyone was so tired that all of us fell asleep till evening. Dinner was steamboat at Brinchang Town, followed by some Pasar Malam walk for some simple shopping and finger food.

DAY 2 (05 August 2007, Sunday)

Next morning, we got up at about 0800hrs and went for breakfast at Tanah Rata town. Following which was a visit to the strawberry farm.

Next was an exciting ride to the Sg Palas Boh Tea Plantation. The road is single lane and is often congested when an incoming vehicle meets an outgoing vehicle. One manouvre mistake and you are off into the tea leaf valley!





We had a mini tour of the tea factory to see how tea leaves were made. Here it goes:










How could a tour be completed without trying the freshest tea on the hills? So we had a couple of tea at the tea house, which overlooks the entire plantation. And best of all, the weather is chilly, nice cool temperature of about 20 degree celsius.

Having chilled for quite sometime, we decided to return back to the apartment and get ready to check out. We left the apartments, made our way downhill and ride the boring roads back to Singapore.
